Wonder Woman did great! She delivered two extremely huge and handsome male Rottweiler puppies! Congratulations!

Week 1 Update

Hello DKV Family!

The babies are finally here! Wonder Woman delivered two ridiculously handsome puppies. We were unsure if Wonder was even pregnant, that we not only got an ultrasound, but also an x-ray a few weeks later to confirm again. LOL. Wonder is such an active dog. She loves to run and swim, so she is never overweight. During this pregnancy, she did not gain much weight at all and she remained active and even still chasing butterflies up until the day she delivered. Of course that is because there were only two puppies, but my point is, she is just that active and fit. As a result, we have two super healthy Rottweiler puppies.

When Wonder Woman did go into labor, it was a hard labor. Having only two puppies, these babies got huge in their mama. Both puppies got stuck during delivery, but Angel there to help Wonder out. You can tell she was grateful and didn’t want Angel to leave her side. Both boys were born super strong and very healthy. Their bellies were full and they looked like two solid baby tanks. I am just in love with these two boys and I am sure you can see why. CONGRATULATIONS!

Week 2 Update

Hello DKV Family!

The puppies are doing wonderful. The first week, their little tails were docked and dew claws were removed. During the second week, their eyes and ears were still sealed. However, I did see them looking at me last night. That is always one of the best moments for me, when the puppies open their eyes for the first time. It is just too sweet to see these babies looking back at you. Besides that, not much to report. Their appetites are great! Think about it… they have 10 nipples to share during each feeding. They are growing strong and they are just everything we expected and more!

Week 3 Update

Hello, DKV Family!

This has been a fun and exciting week. Your Rottweiler baby boys are growing like weeds! They are ridiculously HUGE and just the chunkiest and cutest babies ever! They usually don’t go to far from mama, because they are always eating. LOL.

Both puppies eyes have fully opened. I say this with every single litter, but there truly is nothing more special then seeing these babies open their eyes for the first time. You instantly fall in love when you see these Rottweiler babies look back at you. Their ears have also opened. Now, you can watch as the puppies react to new sounds. When we come into the room, you will see them freeze and look left and right. When they finally look up, they’re like…. what do you want. They’re so funny.

Both pups are actually getting good at walking and running. They’re still a bit clumsy when they go fast, but it is the cutest thing to watch. We actually saw the two boys starting to play with each other. It looked like a slow motion wrestle. They will roll over each other, open their mouth and attempt to gum the other, then put their paws over each other’s face… then just fall asleep. LOL. In another two weeks, they will be wrestling and acting crazy, so I am fine with this slow motion play for right now.

Overall, they are doing amazing. I plan to take some new photos Sunday afternoon. So be sure to check back in a few days!

Week 4 Update

Hello, DKV Family!

We are at the halfway point. Puppies continue to grow and grow. I cannot stress how handsome these two fellas are. They are very attached to each other and it is so precious to watch. They sleep side by side to each other. They kiss on each other. They play wrestle with each other. It’s going to be hard to separate these two brothers at 8 weeks. That just means they will need a little extra love and affection from you. They will want to be held and loved on when you receive them, since they are not used to being alone. When you have a litter of 8 puppies, sometimes the puppies want some alone time. In this scenario, they will want extra affection. I am sure nobody has any problems with that! Look at these handsome fellas! Enjoy!

Week 5 Update

Hello, DKV Family!

We are heading into week 5 and a lot has changed. These puppies are big chunky studs! Their appetite is amazing. Not only do they suck mama dry, they also run into her food bowl the second we put it down. These boys love water, also. Which is very typical of my old lines. All of my dogs love water actually. We have a big water bucket in the whelping box and we have a hard time keeping the babies from playing in it. Besides that, they are full of energy and love to play and wrestle with each other. They are also very curious and want to explore around. We are just so in love with these two monsters and I am sure you will be too! Enjoy!

Week 6 Update

Hello, DKV family.

We have reached week six. It seems like time went too quickly for me, but it probably seems like forever for you all. These monsters are doing absolutely amazing. I must say, they are two of the most handsome Rottweiler puppies ever. These DKV Rottweiler puppies are so solid and thick, and they still have their fuzzy puppy coat, so they look like two bear cubs.

Your babies went to the vet last Friday. They had full exams and the vet said they looks great and were very healthy. The doctor listened to their hearts and did not hear any heart murmurs. The doctor could not get over the size of our Rottweiler puppies and how solid they were. We told her that was the DKV difference. LOL. The babies received fecal tests and giardia tests and both tests came back negative and clear of any worms, parasites, or sicknesses, just as expected. They also received their first puppy vaccine. We are happy to announce everything went perfect. When it was time to check out, the staff said they were not returning our Rottweiler puppies because everyone loves them and nobody is willing to give them back. After a semi-real laugh, I eagerly grabbed our Rottweiler babies back. Ha ha.

Appetites are top notch. Angel has weaned the babies off of Wonder Woman. I don’t think Wonder was too upset about it. Instead, I think she was relieved. Even though there were only two Rottweiler puppies, they sucked their mama dry like a litter of ten. So, Wonder seems to be happy-go-lucky now, and back to chasing butterflies and swimming.

I will begin paperwork this week and have everything sent over via email. That’s all for now.

Week 7 Update

Hello, DKV Family.

Well, we have finally made it to the end. Your wait is just about over. I have to say, these two Rottweiler male puppies are truly special. They are absolutely GORGEOUS and just as impressive as can be. When we go to the vet, everyone asks if they are available for sale. Don’t worry, I proudly say no every time. Of course it makes us proud when our Rottweiler puppies end up this handsome, but when they reflect 6+ generations of DKV Rottweilers, it makes us BEYOND PROUD.

These puppies are full of energy and very playful. So get ready to start chasing your puppy around the house. They are also EXTREMELY smart. We have this large tall basket that we put them in when we drive to the vet. They kept whining for us to take them out of the basket, but I did not give in. Well, one would stand up and realize the basket tips slightly. Then the other would stand up and they would realize it tips more. Within a few minutes, they were standing up at the same time, and pushing the basket over. And just like that, they were out and happy as can be. That is just one example of how smart they are and how you can just watch their brain figure things out.

Both of these handsome fellas went to the vet today and passed all of their health clearances. The vet issued them their USDA health certificates and they are now ready to travel. Here is one final photo before you will be seeing your handsome babies in person. Enjoy!
